Hope

If you go to biblegateway.com and search for dove, they are mentioned 46 times.Doves used at sacrifice, doves sold in the marketplace, Noah sent out a dove to look for land. A dove is also a symbol used for baptisms and sign of love.

Luke 3:21-22
When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

At the end of last week, at the same time I realized that I was going to need to call for another appointment, a pair of doves made an appearance at our house. Darin and I noticed them at separate times and commented on them.

In the night last night, it occurred to me that Jesus had sent us a sign of hope.

The pair of doves greeted us again this afternoon.

Thank you Jesus!

  1. Wow, what a blessing! I love it when God sends us signs to show us that he loves us and that he will take care of us no matter what happens. When i was pregnant with Gavin and feared another miscarriage, God sent me a beautiful double rainbow after a huge rainstorm we had just driving through along with many tears shed. It was such a blessing knowing that God made a promise to Noah and that day he had made a promise to me! Rely on this moment of the doves as God's way of loving you!

  2. I heard something about doves.... They are "anti-social" naturally timid and nervous. So for one to show up and land on a Man's head HAS to be God! For a pair to show up in your very busy yard, and stick around, HAS to be God!
